談到飛機,我跟Ming主要的飛行經歷也都是Cessna 150/152/172,這種長距離飛行,自然也以這型飛機為主,在我們這次做IR IPC及BFR的學校Fly Corona,最近因為經營權易主,新的老闆,反其道而行的買進幾架新的飛機,原來的我之前飛過有G1000的C172SP--N6017J已經賣出,但是新買一架一樣是C172SP(w G1000)的N19369:
這架飛機是2006年的飛機,比我的車還新,在學飛階段要飛這種飛機大概很困難,Fly Corona的老闆將這架飛機定價大約USD130/hr(block, 包括surcharge),這算是非常有競爭力的價格,看到這架飛機,我首先把口水擦乾淨,準備直接Book下去~~
等等!!
這時,理性的Ming大提醒我,這架飛機雖然又高檔價格又美,但是,但是它的速度跟載重比起來,都比不上另一架C172RG—N9559B(niner five five niner bravo<--請多唸幾次,就會發現它饒舌).:
根據Ming大的分析,這架C172RG,不但價格更低(block usd129/hr),巡航速度也較快。以往對於巡航速度不太在意,反正累積飛行時數嘛! 但是對於我們要飛超過1,800nm的航程,就有差別了.
這架飛機是1981年的C172RG,根據Owner Manual
根據Manual, 我們的速度(2650 Pound@8000 feet)可以飛到:
134 TAS的巡航速度, 以Total Usable 62G的油來說,每小時最多10G,依IFR 45mins保留油料的規定, 大約只有54G的油可用於正常巡航,保守一點算50G,也就是說,可以飛5hrs不落地加油,航程大約650nm. 這個時間已經夠我們每天只加一次油的要求了。
好吧,就是它了…可是,為什麼起落架看起來比較細呀?? 因為這是C172RG, 有Retrackable的起落架,飛這種飛機,需要complex edoresement. 在FAR 61.1一開始就定義
Complex airplane means an airplane that has a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller, including airplanes equipped with an engine control system consisting of a digital computer and associated accessories for controlling the engine and propeller, such as a full authority digital engine control; or, in the case of a seaplane, flaps and a controllable pitch propeller, including seaplanes equipped with an engine control system consisting of a digital computer and associated accessories for controlling the engine and propeller, such as a full authority digital engine control.
然後在FAR 61.31中規定
61.31(e)
Additional training required for operating complex airplanes. (1) Except as provided in paragraph (e)(2) of this section, no person may act as pilot in command of a complex airplane, unless the person has-
(i) Received and logged ground and flight training from an authorized instructor in a complex airplane, or in a flight simulator or flight training device that is representative of a complex airplane, and has been found proficient in the operation and systems of the airplane;
也就是說,如果要飛這架飛機,我得需要跟教官真的飛或是在模擬機上飛過,確定我ok才能飛。這個沒問題,雖然IR IPC可以在模擬機上全部做完,但是我的教官Brian還是希望我可以在真飛機上,飛一下approach,Holding…等等的科目,這兩個科目(IPC及Complex endoresment)可以合併在一起。這樣就可以更節省時間了.
最後一個問題,這架飛機,離100 hrs check只剩30hrs, 我們這次大縱飛大約需要23hrs,我跟Ming的check out也許需要4~6hrs, 這會讓飛機非常接進法規的邊緣,而飛行最要避免的,就是這樣的事,所以今早我跟Brian再次確認,如何確保我們可以合法的飛行…這點,我們還在等待回應…
出發前,這大概是最後一篇了,從六月底我跟Ming確認機票至今,慢慢的從飛機,訓練,航路到最後的住宿,都經過許多的討論,也得到許多朋友的幫助,下一篇,po的時候我應該已經在米國了,希望,一切順利~
